With the rapid development of the global LCM manufacturing industry, LCM special equipment has received increasing attention from manufacturers. FOG bonding machine is a special equipment used in the process of hot-pressing connection of COF, COG, FPC, TCP and other circuits in the manufacturing process of liquid crystal module products. This equipment is the main pre-compression integrated model, adopts the combination of single pre-compression and double main pressure, double-table structure, FPC working table x, y, z three-way movement.


The function of fog binding is to bind flexible circuit board or flat wire directly to the electrode at the edge of liquid crystal glass. That is to say, the process of installing the flat wire and flexible circuit board on the liquid crystal glass. The quality of fog binding process directly affects the yield of LCD and the service life of LCD.

The core part of bonder is composed of bracket, motor, guide rail, screw rod, screw nut, upper slider, lower slider, cylinder, bonder, solenoid valve, electrical proportional valve, controller and other main components.

Workflow:

1. Under the pressure and temperature required by the process, the ACF with the required length shall be pasted on the pin of FPC and LCD glass. The position and length of ACF paste should be accurate and the surface should be flat without bubbles.

 

2.Pre binding :The pins of FPC and LCD glass are aligned by CCD camera, and pre pressed under the pressure and temperature required by the process to form the preliminary connection. In this step, the alignment of CCD camera is the key factor. Due to the improvement of production process, the lead pitch becomes smaller and smaller, the minimum pitch has reached 0.05mm, and the alignment accuracy should be within ± 0.005mm.

 

3.Main binding :Under the pressure and temperature required by the process, the pre bound LCD screen is mainly bound by using a pulse hot press. In this pressing process, the electrical connection between FPC and liquid crystal glass is realized through the elastic deformation of ACF conductive particles and the rupture of insulation layer. Meanwhile, the adhesive in ACF polymerizes and hardens at high temperature, forming a strong physical connection between the two different materials.

Key points of Technology

1、Temperature control, heating rate and peak temperature are important factors affecting the curing of ACF. The heating rate determines the surface quality of ACF after curing, while the peak temperature determines the bonding strength of ACF after curing.

2、The flatness of the binding head and the unevenness of the binding head lead to the uneven breaking of the ACF conductive particles, because the ACF conductive particles are very small, usually about 4um in diameter, and ACF is very sensitive to pressure. When the contact surface of the binding head is not smooth, some ACF conductive particles will be completely broken, while the other part of ACF conductive particles can not be broken normally, resulting in poor electrical conductivity between liquid crystal glass and FPC.

 

Control principle of proportional valve :

 

1. When the equipment is standby, the solenoid valve controls the cylinder to rise, and the proportional valve is in exhaust state.

2. When working, the solenoid valve controls the cylinder to drop, and the proportional valve controls the pressure when the cylinder drops. The real-time pressure adjustment can be carried out according to the binding process comparison valve.

 

After the FPG binding machine uses nitv electric proportional valve, the binding pressure can be directly controlled by PLC control system, thus the crushing degree of ACF conductive particles is directly controlled by the program.

 

The NITV electric proportional valve can realize multi-stage heating pressure binding, and the binding temperature and binding pressure of each section can be set independently;

 

The cylinder is bound by NITV proportional valve driving device, so that the pressure can be adjusted accurately, and the binding pressure does not vibrate;
